  • Good morning all. I hope this finds you all healthy & happy. Hump day, another day away from Monday, another day closer to the weekend.

Today Mandy is suppose to be coming over to help me get a few things done here in the house. I got the bathrooms scrubbed yesterday. I gathered laundry, but didn't do any. I worked on the aquarium quite a bit and finally got enough paint on the back of it. But, not before getting it all over me & on the front porch too! When I took my shirt off, I looked like I was slowly turning into a smurf, one spot at a time.

I started painting yesterday evening, I wasn't sure what would come out, just needed to put the brush to paper. I currently have water colors, but I think I would like to work with different types of paint. For me, it's hard to control the watery colors. Anyway, what came out is the silhouette of a pregnant woman. The only colors (I can see the image in my mind) will be the background, yellows & blues; and the womb, which is different shades of red and the shadow of a baby, not very detailed (I'm not that good), just gray mostly. Right now the page is mostly yellow, the woman's figure is white (not paint there) and the womb is already red. I have work to do still, but I did what I could yesterday and had to let it dry before I could do any more. Painting is one of those things, for me, I don't have any idea what will come of it, I just know I need to start. How ironic that I painted a pregnant woman while we are trying to get pregnant, I know it seems obvious... but its still strange how the mind works sometimes.

We got one hell of a storm last night. We needed the rain, and boy did we get rain! The lights blinked twice, our lights never go out. We have been here nearly three years and we have not lost power (other than a quick flicker) in that time. So, it was one heck of a storm. No damage this morning, but everything is still sufficiently saturated. It would have been great to have had a tin roof last night! That is great sleeping.

Nothing special to report this morning, still no ovulation. No big surprise there. I wont expect it till later on in the month, if last month is any indication. Still take it every morning though.

Tonight is date night. Yay! I didn't even cook dinner last night. I let time sneak up on me. And since she didn't call on her way home, I wasn't even expecting her when she walked in the door. She didn't seem to mind, we both ate a sandwich for dinner. It was a great night. We watched a movie "The Ten", don't waste your time on that movie. It's ten short stories about each of the ten commandments... it sucked. Suppose to have been a comedy (trying to help Tancy decompress after a tough test), I just found it dumb. I mean, come on... the ten commandments, there are so many ways to make that funny if that's what your intentions are. Blasphemy can be funny! LOL. I know, I'm going straight to hell... oh well, it's gonna be a fun ride! I am with a preachers daughter, do keep that in mind. I would have to believe in hell to be concerned about it. (I wont get started this early in the morning on religion and beliefs.)

I got all my bird feeders and hummingbird feeders filled back up yesterday. the Hummingbirds are already ou this morning, buzzing around on the porch, drinking the sweet nectar that must help them fly around like kids with ADD. Remember when people woudn't give hyper kids anything with red dye because it made them worse? Is that still a popular school of thought? There are two (humming birds) at the front porch window right now, one trying to run the other one off so he can have the thick red liquid all to himself. Greedy little buggers!

The puppies are crashed out on the couch here beside me. I figured I would try to spend some time with them this morning. Other than camping, they really haven't gotten much attention lately. Hemmi wont sit still though, he's gotta check everything out and be in most of it. He gets in trouble. Scout, she's here on the couch, chillin'. She enjoys her time hanging out in the livingroom. She's one of those dogs that settles down quickly and finds a comfy spot to nap. Hemmi, being a terrier, is currently searching for another naw-naw to bring up on the couch. He will drag out every chewy they have before it's all said and done. I guess that's better than chewing on what he's to suppose to. But he can't be happy with just one. He's obsessive, like his mom.... lol... I'll let you guess which one!

Okay kids. I have got to finish drinking my coffee, brush my teeth, get some clothes on and start on the house work. I will leave tomorrow morning to go get Zack and Lauren, so I probably wont blog tomorrow.

    Love to all!
